Jokela Brick Factory Tradition Association was established in spring 1998 to take care of the Tuusula, Jokela's old brick factory tradition. In Jokela there was produced bricks totally in four brick factories during 112 years, starting at 1874 and ending at 1986. The oldest, Jokela Brick Factory, was located in the center of Jokela village. The Kolsa Brick Factory was in use for the longest period. In addition, in Huikko there was running Rake brick factory and Jokela's new brick factory.

The primary purpose of the association is to repair and take care of the still existing buildings and surroundings of the Jokela brick factory, taking care of its cultural heritage.

In addition, we aim to co-operate with the municipality of Tuusula, who owns the area, to get the rooms for public use like exhibition and multispace use properly.

Jokela Brick Factory Tradition Association was established in Jokela 3rd of June 1998.
